It will def not come with only 2gb internal. that i know. Like i have been saying it will be equal or more than the incredible in every way. I only said i have heard the number 10 thrown around. It could be the total amount with a 2gb micro sd card added. IDK. But internal mem will be aorund 8 that i know

the more memory the better but i don't even come close to using 128MB Internal on my Palm Centro. 1MB for Contacts and Calendar and a few more MB for a few Apps and that's it. all my Documents and files sit out on the Cloud for me to get via FTP from any device anywhere in the world. i stream my music. so i keep very little on my LOCAL device.

I don't think this has to be a spelling contest. I like to take my time and make sure my grammar, sentence structure and spelling are as good as I can get it, but that's just me. I would never criticize someone else if every i wasn't dotted or every t crossed. Not in an environment like this where you're forced to type as fast as you can. Some people posting are using their phones and your typing isn't going to be as good.

Yeah, Dan said he sees in the future plans being charged on a gigabyte model instead of a minutes model. Which would be interesting, makes me question if they will want to do 'unlimited' on 4G or how they plan on changing their rates in the future.

EDIT: Bill, do you mind editing the first page to state Micro HDMI? While I am sure people will still keep asking, it would be a good thing to have there.
Thanks, reallynotnick. Good suggestion that I didn't even think of.

As far as I know, I have every right to agree with him. And as he said, no offense, but it is hard to read your posts.

I didn't say you couldn't Hopalee. It's all good. I was just adding in. It doesn't bother me at all. This a is a thread and everyone is free to say whatever they like. I was just adding to your comment as my own humor.

People, lets lay off the the way the guy posts. It really isn't that bad. Plus we do say in the guidelines not to be a Grammer nazi. Shoot I've seen way more worse. Lets get back on topic. (if is there one at this point)?

Anyway, it may well be 2 gb internal and a 8 gb card for a total of 10. But like usual we will have to wait and see.

TS

Edit: I didn't see Supersonical's statement. disregard my last sentence. lol

Grammar rules should exist on the Internet :p. People try to read posts, it is hard to read when everything is written in 1 second. But there is far worse on the net... Just check YouTube.

the more memory the better given that recording HD VIDEO will burn through a lot of MB.

Eguy - how many 720p sex tapes can you squeeze onto 8GB???

Exactly bill . It doesn't bother me. I have a very strong sense of humor and I'm smiling at the other end of this laptop. Personally I think it didn't have to be said since my post was answered. So obviosuly the point got through. I was just simply saying. But it's whatever. I got enough thanks and etc and shared enough good information to be very satisfied. Like them, I also want the Evo.

You know all this talk about voip, google voice etc and those two are the ones that I have yet to get into. I really do not know anything about voip (I admit it), but I haven't really try using Google Voice. Shoot even when it was GrandCentral I didn't try. Maybe I should apply myself to learn them both being that the EVo will come with it.

google talk and google voice is all I use with my friends.. especially the ones with android phones

both are unnecessary and redundant for me given Sprint Unlimited Voice and Texts. who wants to worry about coordinating, installing software, and matching protocols amongst X group of friends and family? Blackberry messenger? Google talk? ICQ? AIM? Yahoo messenger? F that.

As promised, here are the screen caps I took of the email I received from EVP regarding the pre-order list I had joined.

-What bothers me on this first part of the email is that it's still pretty "ambiguous" as to when the EVO is coming out, but at least August is completely ruled out. Note the "Within 60 Days" line-

- On this 2nd part of the email, it gives out majority of the specs that are already available. The part that bothers me (which I think EVP might be slightly confused as to what the information means) is where they say it'll have "1GB of built in storage." Seems to me that they're referring to the 1GB ROM (which we've established on this thread that ROM doesn't equal "internal storage").-

-There's no real significance about this last part of the email, but just included it so you can see it's from EVP-

So, I'm just quoting myself for those that didn't see my post about the EVP email.

Am I the only one that posts on this thread that doesn't get EVP?

Lmao! Are you serious !? Yea, try sharing family videos and forget you have that on your EVO. I wonder how they would react when that is viewed on the big screen.

Really, news to me since me my friends and family all use google talk.

TS

Same here. Everyone I know uses the built-in chat in Gmail. Ever since I got a Gmail account and most of my friends did as well, I pretty much stopped using standalone IM programs. This was maybe 4 years ago. The best part is that lots of people can't install IM programs at work but as long as you can keep Gmail open in a tab (which I do anyway for email) then you can get hold of people all day. It even supports voice and video chat in the browser with a small plugin. If they can get the Evo working with Gmail chat with video I would be so psyched. How cool would it be to call your friend's browser from your phone.

For one, we started this before the days of unlimited texts included so it was nice to chat via gmail. The point is that there is nothing to install. If you have a browser you have Gmail chat. If you have Android or WebOS or any number of others, you also have Gmail chat integrated into your native chat program.

Google will never take over Facebook or Twitter with Buzz, nor will they ever completely overshadow the iPhone OS, but Gmail/Google chat is the one thing that practically everyone I know has access to on their browser or phone and it's sort of become the new standard for a lot of people the way AIM used to be. (It also will let you see your AIM contacts in the GChat list if you have an account).

Sorry, I know it's been posted before but will sprint let you upgrade early if you are close to your upgrade date?

My early upgrade is available on July 1st. Will sprint let me upgrade early if the phone is released middle of June?

thanks

This is what you do... call and speak with someone that will change your date to now. It took me a few phone call's to get them to change it but they did. Now let me mention that I started my Sprint account last April and they some how shot me out to January 2011... That just wasn't going to do, but while I was on the call with Sprint the one thing they kept saying was "if it was only two months we could change it, but your out almost a year." Needless to say they found the issue with my account and changed it back to April.

I say call, and ask to have your upgrade status changed to now.... don't rest till you do, you'll find a rep that'll help.

Don't judge me.......:D

On that topic, does anyone know how I can forward hotmail to my gmail account? This will be my first Android so I would like to make my gmail my primary email.

EDIT: They only allow forwarding to a custom domain or a hotmail.com, live.com, or and msn.com email.

Dude thats your opinion.. From what I recall google talk and google voice comes integrated in most new android phones.. I use google voice for separating personal contacts from business contacts. it doesn't matter whether you have as unlimited plan or not.. I am sure many people with unlimited sprint plans use google voice for the reason it was intended to be a central number. i use google talk for my friends that don't have unlimited plans.

I don't have EVP either, but I do get a nice discount on the plan for working at Best Buy.:D

so can't you bang some heads at BB and find out some inside info for us? or maybe hack into the inventory system or stowaway overnight after closing?

i could see where it would be useful for international calling/communications.
