Root Anything like ARHD for the Nexus 5?

AFKKU

Lurker
I came from an HTC One X that was bootloader-unlocked, rooted and with CWM recovery.

I wasn't bothered about OTA updates because mike1986 made such a good job up keeping Android Revolution HD updated.

Now, the thing is, is there anything like ARHD for the Nexus 5 yet does anyone know? I've looked around and can't see anything.

ARHD was essentially a stock-and-rooted ROM but was very well optimised, it ran much better than "Google stock" and because he would get the updates out within days of Google releasing the updates, I didn't care that I had a custom ROM because I could get my updates better and quicker than waiting for HTC to release it OTA.

So, if anyone is familiar with what I'm talking about, can you help?

This is my first post so thanks for bearing with me.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forums! :D

The great thing about a nexus device is it has a TON of developer support, so pretty much every ROM is an AHRD ;)

Personally, I like Cataclysm.
[ROM] [KitKat 4.4] [HAMMERHEAD] Cataclysm for Nexus 5 [Nov 21, 2013 Stable] - xda-developers

I pair it with franco kernel
[KERNEL] [GPL] [N5] franco.Kernel - r14 - xda-developers

I've been looking at Cataclysm. I don't know if I want to muck about with the kernel as stock Android ones seem to be the most stable and I'm happy with the way it handles requests etc on my phone.

A bit more research before I take the plunge.

Thanks for your reply :)
