How slippery is concrete ?

Looking to build an x. Thought I saw somebody mention that the concrete was slick compared to the plain black. I haven't gone to a store to see samples.

Just wondered if anyone has felt both, or can say if the concrete is actually slick. My wife has a woven white, and it's too slippery for my taste.

Yea it is kind of slick but almost like a soft matte finish, if that makes any sense. But I love it though.

My recommendation is head to your local corporate store (ATT has it a their stores anyway) there's a layout of all the backs that you can actually give each option a feel, you can also see the actual colors live and in person, for the trim pieces too. It's a nice way to help you settle on the color combo you really want.

That said most of the options are a soft feel. I seem to remember concrete being a fairly pleasing feel, not "slick" to the touch. The odd colors were the slickest, blue - green - red, that sort of thing.

Thanks for the replies. I will stop at a store if I get near one. I think any of the x backs would be better than my gnex. I require a case for it. Like a wet bar of soap.

I've said this in other threads but...
The back of the developer edition is white woven and super slick, I mean really, really slickery. I normally go case-less but slapped one on right away, I needed to add some grip!

I thought it was about how much damage concrete can do to a phone. Which unfortunately I found out the hard way trying out a case which just covered the back and side rails of my device.
