Hopefully after work I can work on this and if so I'll have a flashable ZIP by tomorrow late evening.... If nothing else by Monday morning.... I've got to look into this KNOX bootloader that we have flashed with this new update.....
There are a few "KNOX" drawbacks:
YOU CANNOT USE ODIN TO REVERT TO 4.1.2 AFTER THE 4.3 UPDATE!!!! YOU WILL HARD BRICK!!!!!
YOU CANNOT RUN ANY ROMs <4.3 (e.g. 4.1, 4.1.2, 4.2, 4.2.2) THIS WILL (at least SOFT) BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!
since the update has be out it seems that every galaxy s3 with all service providers have been having issues. its seems to be the reverb all over again. has one had this update and how is it running. should we update or not
How did you get super super install can you give a step by step? Thanks!!!!
an let us know what recovery you used!!
ROOTED THE UPDATE SUCCESSFULLY
Reverted to stock recovery, flashed custom recovery, flashed SuperSU.. rooted!
No problems
UPDATE: SuperSU is not working after boot. It says "Unauthorized access to a secured area has been blocked" does anyone know how to get around this??
SECOND UPDATE: After rebooting, it has reverted me to the stock recovery. This is crazy. Hopefully someone can help with this.. or post a version of 4.3 without this Knox pain in the..
THIRD UPDATE: EDIT: I fixed it!! I have root access! I was able to locate SuperSU in system/app and reinstall; load up SuperSU and enable survival mode. Now I'm freezing Knox with Titanium Backup![]()
Hey, do you think you can take your steps and try to make a new thread?
Can we flash a CM 10.1 after we update?
Do you think if I go into the update zip an remove the knox files 're flash it threw the stock recovery you think it will work and let me reroot ?
Thats mest up dud!!
I guess you checked connection optimized!
I'll be calling VM soon to add the $15 hotspot. It's a nice feature and I will be relying on it heavily for storm chasing next spring.
I'm beginning to realize that the update to 4.3 being rolled out to us is actually a way to implement security enforcement on those who root their devices. Correct me if I'm wrong and I may be having a bad attitude, but I am not accepting this update and it's heightened security measures in a positive manner.
If any of you want to know about Knox. Here you go. Hoped I helped you understand about it a little more.
