Not surprising considering Sony helped create the blu-ray format. You have to install a bluray app for the xbox for it to play blurays.. and on his the fps playing the bluray was absolute trash, so we switched over to the ps4 and it played perfectly fine.
I was just at a friend's of mine on Saturday.. he didn't make the decision, he just bought both..
One thing I found out is that xbox isn't ideal if you plan on watching blurays on it.. You have to install a bluray app for the xbox for it to play blurays.. and on his the fps playing the bluray was absolute trash, so we switched over to the ps4 and it played perfectly fine.
Just a note to add in to your decisions

If I were actually buying one, I would choose the Xbox 1.. After seeing the UI for both, the Xbox attracts me much more, also it works so well with windows.. The one thing I cannot stand about Xbox is xbox live.. the fact that you have to pay to play online.. that is why I like the PC the most
It's $50/yr compared to $60/yr. Not a huge difference. Both are offering free games each month now; Xbox free games you own; PS Plus games you can play as long you're still subscribed.you have to pay to play online now with the ps4.
I think it is much cheaper as opposed to the $60 but I still can't forget sony being hacked and they customer information leaked.
I was looking at them side by side at Gamestop the other day, and the PS4 is a much better looking console just as far as the physical box. It looked like higher quality plastic where the Xbox One looked kind of cheap in comparison. Not that it makes a difference on which one anybody should buy.

Killer Instinct is different from I'm talking about. PS Plus, and Live Gold are giving users a couple of retail digital downloads free each month, that would normally cost money, as part of the service.yeah I didn't know Killer Instinct was going to be free
i loved that game on SNES and now it is on X1!
Haven't had a chance to play it yet but there might be a reason it was free... haha.

Killer Instinct is Microsoft's early attempt at a free-to-play, micro transaction game. Reviews seem promising. But, you only get a few fighters free, and have to buy the rest of them individually with real money.
