Root Randomly soft booting

This has been happening for a while so I can't recall what set it off and I don't know what to look for in logcat. My setup is odex stock with Franco r26, xposed frame with some modules, greenify (donate), gravitybox, used odexertool 1.11 (xda), dalvik+bionic patch. The problem happens when an app is opening (any app) or when waking the phone (rarely) and soon after there's a lag and my phone reboots. It happens again after that sometimes. I tried ruling out some of the mods I installed but now I cleared the settings in the Franco app and see if it's the kernel doing this. Any advice would be appreciated

Update: seems like it was the under volting I did that caused it.

You've got a lot of variables there. Could be kernel related. Did you undervolt at all? Overclock?

Could also be some of the mods you flashed. I'd suspect odexertool as I've used the others you mentioned without any issues.

I remember reading in a thread somewhere (Maybe Franco thread on xda?) that some N5 did fine with -75, others had issues with any more undervolting than -50. Maybe something to do with manuf date/lot. Just thought I'd throw that in here :)

You're right, every phone reacts differently to undervolting, and that's because every CPU is slightly different.

My first nexus 5 would instantly reboot if I went below -50

The second one can go to -100 but ill get the random reboots the OP is describing with -100 or -75. It really isn't stable for me below -50.

You won't know your devices limit until you go step by step and run some stress tests (one useful thing benchmarks are for)

My CPU bin is PVS 2, supposedly N5s with a higher PVS # are better for UV. Are the stock frequencies along with the stock voltages the same with different CPU Bin #s of all N5s?

Don't trust the bins too much. Its true they are "graded" but that doesn't mean your bin 2 can handle the same as someone elses bin 2.

In the example I described above both nexus 5's had bin 2 cpu's. One would instantly reboot at anything below -50mv. One could go all the way down to -100 but would give random reboots.

Ultimately, you have to take it step by step and see where your phone falls.
