Help Sharp volume keys - normal?

Is it normal for the volume button to be so sharp on its upper edge? Will the sharpness wear off a little?

Loving the phone and after waiting over Christmas, I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back unless I absolutely have to.

It's my only niggle. OK that and only 2 home screens

Install a different launcher (I use Nova, Go is also pretty good) and you can have lots of home screens.

Many people have mentioned how sharp the button edges are. I didn't have a problem with it.
Unless you prefer a naked phone, you can always get a case, lots of nice ones around for the Nexus 5.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I assume you need to root 1st?

You don't need root to install an alternative launcher. And, yes, you can get more home screens from the stock GEL launcher by simply dragging an icon past the second or last screen you have. I prefer Nova because you have many more options. For instance, in GEL, the "Home" (default) home screen is always the left most screen. In Nova, you can designate any home screen as default.

Well after a few weeks they've definitely worn down and are no longer razor sharp.

So if you've just got a Nexus 5 and are worried, there's no need to return. Just hang in there and it WILL go away.

I use a Spigen Slim Armor Case, it fits perfectly, covers the buttons with a nice soft rubber that feels great to use, and is carefully engineered to protect during drops. In Black, it also has a nice soft touch coating. It's thin yet ads just enough to keep the camera lens off the table when placed on it's back. This is the nicest case I've had amongst all I've tried for my various smartphones.
