OTA KitKat update

Well, mine finally received the OTA this AM, no problems with the install, less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately having problems now with the bluetooth connection with my car.
 
The Bluetooth in my car stopped picking up the phonebook. I can still make and receive calls, but the voice activation has to be done through the phone, and not the car. I'm wondering if there needs to be a software update in the car. 2011 Hyundai Sonata.
 
I had BT issues after the update as well that seemed to be fixed by unpairing and repairing all BT devices. But looking for a firmware update for the car is not such a terrible idea.
 
Anyone know how to get tap and pay working in Google Wallet? I'm not seeing the card that should be there.

Here's what I see. I reinstalled Wallet and got the same message about just having to enable tap and pay in Wallet but nothing in settings. Gonna try a reboot.

I wouldn't have even thought to suggest that to you. I've never turned anything off on my Maxx. Glad you figured it out.

On a related note, I called today and canceled my AmEx Serve Card and delted ISIS from my phone. I'd meant to do that for a while now but kept forgetting.

Ha, I was just about to reply!

For anyone who missed that, settings, hit "more" under wireless & networks, and then enable NFC. That will allow tap & pay to show up in settings.
 
... if you in fact want NFC enabled. I'll continue to be a slow poke on this one and see what kind of "features" are uncovered along the way.

I use the Motorola Skip (and the Skip tags) to unlock my phone. It's a lot easier than entering in a long PIN code, but I still have the security of the PIN if the phone is lost or stolen. I'm not all that wild to start using tap and pay - it doesn't solve any problems that I'm having with paying for things.

I was using that too, until the Skip clip fell off somewhere and I lost it :mad:
 
Go to settings | About Phone
Tap Android version multiple times
When the S appears long press it
When the Kit Kat logo appears long press it
You are now looking at the animated desert case.

Keep pressing and you will get a little weird Android themed game.
