Help HDR+ question

Is there any way of speeding up the taking of a photo whilst in HDR+ mode.
I tried a couple of camera apps out the other day, only one situation and the stock camera was as good if not better than the other apps but it just takes foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and if anything is moving, like a child,9 out of 10 shots are missed.

Not really. The HDR+ is actually taking 3 pictures with different exposure settings (unlike other camera apps that take just one picture and use software to artificially adjust the exposure).
Maybe if they are able to increase the capture speed of a single photo, that should improve the time taken for HDR+.

For moving subjects, I'd recommend not using HDR+

HDR+ isnt for quick photos. As described above, it makes multiple photos of different exposures and merges them together to get the final photo you see.

If you're trying to capture a certain moment with pets/kids/anything else that isnt posing you should really have HDR+ turned off.
