Root Testers and helpers needed

This is great
I will try and let you know but since this is my wife's phone. Do we have a tool to restore stock?
I wouldn't like to screw her warranty since she have the phone for only 2 days. Lol
 
If anyone is handy with Windows or Linux, I posted a compressed file of the partition dumps.
I'm out of time tonight, but if you want to open them and see which ones are boot, aboot, and recovery that would help greatly.
 
Found the info I needed thanks to the guys at unleashedprepaids.com will be testing a recovery in about an hour
 
Any update?
Is the file over there the same as "stock ROM"?
IE can I use it to restore my device to stock somehow?

UPDATE: We now have CWM, just head over to the root forum. As for a "Stock ROM", there is not one yet, becuase we did not have a recovery to do a full Nandroid backup, but that changed like 30 minutes ago.
 
I don't plan on buying one but if one falls into my lap I don't see why not.

I'm honestly maybe the worst dev/hacker in the community tbh. I just try to get things started so that the real guns take notice, lol.

Lol. As luck would have it a friend just showed me her phone and asked if I could help remove some unwanted apps....

You'll never guess what phone she got.
need to wait until next week to play with it though. I work and she's still in school.
trying to fix this darn valiant ATM too.

That's always the fun part. Got lucky with the valiant and DC unlocker coupled with huawei willingly sending unlock codes.

Might ask around about getting help building a 2nd init recovery at the least but I've never touched an alcatel phone before.

Have you got root? Maybe you can do a partition dump while I wait to get my grubby paws on it.

Yes we do have full root access using motochopper or framaroot, I've heard a few people have trouble with framaroot later on but I've had no problems with it, how would I do a partition dump?
 
Install es file explorer and terminal emulator from play store.

In es file explorer search for "by-name" and tell me what folder its in.
 
Yeah same here I've been looking for days I've tried frama root universal.and root z4 root and others none work it sucks be cause I want to record and remove licence verifications etc. If anyone has or knows of one please tell I'd be eternally grateful
 
The only root that worked for me was cydia Impactor, and even then I had to fiddle with the options for an hour before it took.

And it requires a full size computer.

I'm always on the quest for "on-device" solutions to the "PC-required" steps.
