I tried both to no avail. I also tried 8sms which got mms working but only on wifi. So far the only app that works is what's app. In case it matters, I'm running your debloated version of kitkat carbon on baseband L710VPUCMK3. Kernel version 3.4.77-cyanogenmod-g75b35d6 carbonev@thing-2#1.
There is a really nice messaging app replacement called EvolveSMS, it has a lot of APN's built in, including those for Virgin Mobile and Boost. Free in the Play Store, but with in-app purchases to expand the theming possibilities. Highly recommended. I've been using it very heavily for the past couple of weeks with no real issues in terms of sending and receiving MMS.

Just a heads up guys.... I just flashed Carbon and did not have to make any changes to the APNs or ANYTHING! SMS and MMS worked right after my 1st flash. WOOOHOOO!!
This is awesome! Did you flashed one of Struckn's modified carbon or the original? Anyhow, thanks for pointing out Chompsms. I got MMS to work on 4g lte. I'm good to go. Thanks all.
How do I perform a profile update in this?
That is a TouchWiz (stock) feature, not available on AOSP ROM's. You will need to temporarily revert to a backup of a stock-based ROM (if you don't have one, you really should, just for a "rainy day"), or download and install something like Wicked Sensations, MOAR, or the stock/Knox-free from @jdsingle76.
Thanks! Also do I need the Boost APN fix as well? because I get 3g but very splotchy, where I know I should be getting 4G.
Carbon server is back up and running, with a new nightly for 2/9!! They have added an international server as well, so you will see "USA" included as part of the file name now.
Want to share it because when I go to the site I don't see any builds under download for d2spr. You probably where already running the ROM right though and just updated through the rom
Here's a copy of the Carbon Nightly from 2/4 with the asserts already removed. Please get it while you can because I can't leave it up long. Too many people start downloading it and Dropbox will shut me down yet AGAIN. LOL!

Give DevHost a try, that's what I have been using.
Thanks. Will do. I usually use Media Fire but there a 200mb limit. Some of these ROMs will fit but not to chance for a TW ROM. LOL.
Going to check DevHost now. Thanks again bro.
512 MB limit on DevHost, but I don't upload any TW ROM's, so no issue. Media Fire has this deceptive thing too, where they pop up another tab/window that prompts "Your download is ready" and the "download" is actually spam, not the actual file you intend to download. That file is "ready" on the original webpage. Very shady, my understanding is that the deceptive download is borderline malware.
Bikers copy of Carbon made a believer out of me. I restored my backup of stuckn 's original and dirty flashed Bikers. I wiped Cache and Dalvik.
This 0204 carbon is much better then the 0207 CM11. I feel so fickle.
I went to the Carbon site on my phone and looked for a newer build but it would not display any builds.
Using the stock browser. It shows the device list on the left, but if you select one, no files appear.
I don't think that the update option from the ROM works either, but not sure.
They are really adding features to this ROM at a fast pace.
