I personally didn't noticed any huge changes besides the notification bar being having a white theme instead of blue. Most of the improvements were made under the hood. I noticed the phone ever so slightly faster. But not by much.

From playing around with it for about a month now, and reading others' experiences, there's not a lot of 'visible' changes, mainly behind the scenes stuff.

The weather animations on the lock screen is cool
There are are a few more choices in page transitions
I think the battery life is a bit better (if that was possible)
and like the other poster said, just a bit smoother and faster overall.

I think it made a great phone just that much better.

One good thing is it gets rid of the annoying white (or black) touch button bar while watching a video, or movie, and it's now full screen.

I thought that the update Wil bring drastic changes to UI but alas no
I thought knock code camera improvements full screen mode as in nexus change in call app as in nexus 5
But it remained pretty much the same UI
But the positive points goes to speed and improvement in knock on features
Other than that I think both jelly bean and kit Kat are same

I too think the same my battery is discharging faster than usual
Maybe am I observing too closely or its really happening
But battery drains much faster after update

From what I've been reading, there's supposed to be a fix in the newest 4.4.3 build related to the battery drain issue, which apparently Google is currently testing.

It seems Monday's fast battery drain and warm to the touch phone might have been a isolated thing. Yesterday was about normal and today seems to go normally.

Last weekend I got an LG application update: the so called 'on screen phone'. Since then, no battery drain problem. Maybe a coincidence...
