MetroPCS Galaxy S5

Yes I have wifi at home, work and school.. I have the $40 plan at metro that has 500 MB of data.. Only use my phone for texting on viber, wats app, BBM .. I do light web browsing.. I have one more week of data service left and I only used 20% data..

Metro website is down for maintenance.. I remember when the S3 was going to be added to the site, everyone was going nuts when their site was down.. For the S5 tho? Dead! I changed my mind about going to T-Mobile. Despite having to pay so much for the phone, I can't let go of Metro. They've treated me good.

With any luck their prices will stay the same... Lol missing Bruce from olcala Florida random

I checked on their FB and people (that want the phone) are saying it should be out this Friday. Some other person said tomorrow. What ever day it is, I do hope its this week.

thanks for the reply. the reason i wanted to know if you had unlimited data is to test the "download booster" feature of S5 that should be active in metropcs (att, verizon, sprint disabled it).
if you are willing to test it, as you have around 350 mb of data left in your plan, you can download a 200 mb file from a google server with download booster feature active in your phone to see how effective it is. that would still leave you with 150 mb for the rest of your data cycle.

the link is for factory images for google nexus devices. at the bottom of the page the last device is "
Factory Images "sojus" for Nexus S 4G (d720)"

last link for that device is version 4.1.1 with a size of 198 mb.
do not install anything, just download to test the speed.

Has anybody seen that bestbuy has the metro pcs galaxy s5 version for pre order and it says released date 4/18/14. Has anybody pre ordered this phone yet on best buy site.

First time so far I've seen it advertised on another site.

Its out now. But sold out online.. Have to get it in a store.

Update: I checked a MetroPCS store around where I live, and they don't have it. The guy talking about to leave him the money and he'll have it by Monday guarantee.. I was like Noo, I want it now, lol. Checked Best Buy and they don't have it either. I go to work in a few hours and I pass two Metro stores on my way. So I'll be checking them both later. The guy told me $724 with taxes and fees included, but it does come w/ a $50 rebate.

They got on the site for $649 with no mention of a rebate. And after I put it through the system came to 694.43 with taxes (your location will more than likely change that price depending on your state sales tax.). So if they are giving it to you at 724 - 50 so at 674 I say take it if you don't mind waiting for the mir.

Once I got the email saying it was available to buy online, from Metro, I bought it right then and there lol. It came out to $704 with taxes. I checked 2 Metro stores and 1 Best Buy. Neither had it. Now to wait to be shipped.

Just got my galaxy s5 today.. i've noticed it has a bug in the phone where as when you have a lockscreen (pattern or finger scan)... the camera widget doesnt work in the bottom right corner and when you try to unlock the phone it freezes for a wile til you turn the screen off and you can unlock it feom there.

How many GBs does the phone come with? The website says 10gb of storage, but I was playing w/ a demo at the store and it showed a full 16gb. I asked the salesman if the demo was from Metro, he said it was. I told him about Metro's site saying its 10gb, and the demo phone having a full 16gb. Both of us were confused.

The phone is actually 10.06gbs.. didnt notice it when i bought it. But is still pretty darn fast.. exept for that bug that is bothering me.

Currently uploading the stock odin tar for the s5, as well as a root script for it. anyone looking to flash roms etc will be using tmobile cwm/twrp/philz for as long as they have it. then when they unify everything it will just be klte builds of things :)
