The T-Mobile G2x is not really a "G2", it is the American version of the LG Optimus 2X.

Have you rebooted the phone? Tried a different charger/cable? Factory defaulted? Or any other standard troubleshooting things?

does your phone have a replaceable battery? maybe the phone cannot read the battery properly.

Yes I have. I figured it was my Sim card so I tried another and still have the same issue.
So you tried all of the above and are still having issues? Are you stock, rooted stock, or running a custom ROM?

So you have no mobile data -AND- a ? for the battery, both occurred simultaneously and never happened before?

The two in combination sounds like a hardware failure, although it could be just bad luck that you had some kind of configuration issue (loss of mobile data) and ? for battery (hardware issue).

I concur that having both simultaneously could be a HW fail, but it's also possible, an intermittent in the battery connection (try re-seating the battery), or a faulty battery might cause the phone to under-voltage, producing further bizarre observables, and the causality of the same to be difficult to deduce.

First, I would probably re-seat the battery, and try charging it using a USB port on a computer. It's possible the charger is bad and damaged the battery..

Then, I would also try throwing a new battery the phone.

+1 On all of the above,notably items 1 & 2:

This is a phone that is well beyond the mfgs warranty, but, that doesn't necessarily mean the phone is shot,YMMV,no two user experiences are alike.

I'd start w/the battery &/or different charger:
1) When new, some of the G2X's were reporting similar issues, was determined that an intermittent battery connection was the cause (loose/undersized battery). If you had no issues w/this,then this may not be the problem. However,if this is indeed the original battery, chances are it's shot, especially if it has a year or more of daily use under its belt.

If you've determined the above aren't the issue,a call/visit to LG's website may be in order:
