There are two options for android devices right now. One is Cydia Impactor, which takes advantage of the master key vulnerability. The second is called Framaroot... I havent been able to divulge any information about it, besides it works on a great number of devices.

You can find Cydia Impactor here

And you can find Framaroot here

Follow all directions given by each method (try Cydia first, then Framaroot if Cydia doesn't work)

Hey I was able to root also using framaroot and it's great but I accidently deleted my system ui apk and I was hoping you knew of a place to get an image or a rom to flash. It's a hydro xtrm 6522n. I did however find some kernels that i'm gonna try too.

Nope you would of had to have a backup. Someone else could make you a backup but that's about it. If I physically had the device I could work on a recovery but I don't. I was just sharing some root methods :)

Hey guys what's up, are there any one working on a recovery for this device? It's a decent phone I was just wondering what kind of development is going on with it, thanks in advance!

I think that would be a bit dangerous. I believe is checks the signatures of boot and recovery and will brick If they don't match

Yes I know the risks, I'm not new to rooting I only deleted known apps that doesn't cause issue I've had no problems.

I recently was using the app pimp my ROM, well I clicked on the option to change my build name with the "pimped" prefix, well I did the undo all modifications button but it still says pimped on the build name. Does anyone know how I can revert it back or change the build name back to what it should be? Thanks in advance!

ok guys I.dont know if this its helpfull but I just root my phone no cable or computer hook try this install mobogenie apk. in ur phone and search on it for vroot.apk and doqnload it run it and presto ready genie ready root root

I dont know if you still receive any new posts to this thread (I'm hoping so); but I need to know how to back-up my original factory files or whatever before I root. I have the Kyocera Hydro XTRM C6522N.
