Hello. Just discovered about this forum. Would like some help from the pros :)

Is it safe to buy an s5 from ebay? My carrier is tmobile, they want $710 for a new one vs I can get one from ebay $600 shipped. How would I be able to know if the phone is legit? Please point out some tips for me. Much appreciate it! :)

Ask the seller for the phones serial number and call tmobile. Otherwise theres really no way to tell if it is legit or not
 
My personal feeling is that you do so at your own risk. Probably fine, but no recourse. Look at seller's feedback and ask recent buyers if product is good.

And I say no recourse, but ebay does have buyer protection and they will shut down fraudsters. But read the description carefully. Know 100% what you are buying.
 
I would suggest looking at swappa.com. I've both sold and purchased phones and had very good experiences. Plus, the phones are going for around $525 right now.
