Help Interesting Screen Unlock Problem

So I bought a S5 on launch day. That day I activated the fingerprint scanner for unlocking and have used it since. Anywho today I decided I wanted to change the unlock security to none because I wanted to try out the knockr app. It's asking me to enter the alternate password I originally setup (I think they required 8 characters? ridiculous). Point is I have access to my phone but can't change the security settings. Any way around this without a factory reset? Annoying.

No I don't. That's the problem or else I would just enter it and be able to change the settings.

suggestion for the future.... been there, done that, got the T-Shirt.

Always write down your new password BEFORE you enter it.... then save it in a database. a slip of paper on the table is useless.

Got to finger scanner and erase all the finger prints and your good to go.
