Root [Boost Mobile] Front Camera ISSUES!

So I'm running the 5/14(?) LS ROM and the front camera it comes with works okay, just a lot of blur but its workable. Other camera apps such as the Google camera or camera MX crash the phone and force a reboot. Snapchat works flawlessly with the camera, not showing any signs of blurriness or no force closing. Instagram also force closes the phone. Is this due to camera apps sxrewing with each other or corrupt data, and how can I fix? Thanks all.

Give Cymera a try. No video last time I used it but it takes nice pictures. :thumbup:

I've used at least three camera apps though. Same deal. Instagram as well.. But snapchat works perfectly fine.

Well at least you're found one that works for you. I'm not running LS right now so I haven't had a chance to see what's going on. One thing you can do instead of doing a complete install is to download the ROM again, pull the camera apk out and try replacing the one in the ROM. You may also want to try a different kernel. Maybe DKP.

I'm running the latest aokp with stock kernel. Have tried stock and Google camera with both front and back camera working perfect. I actually like Google camera when not on tw. I find the quality of images superior to the stock one in these other roms.

Google camera did crash on older builds but some of the newer builds it works perfect with. PA and aokp being the latest two I've tried with success.
