Root Updating partitions to 4.4.3 question

Is there a specific order/procedure if you take manual route of updating when flashing the images via fastboot? First bootloader version>stock recovery>radio? Reason I ask was I tried this on my old n7 but apparently I was supposed to reboot after flashing the recovery partition and the result was a permanently bricked n7 (it was fixed for free eventually by Asus).

Edit: seems the only change in this update are just the system partition and the radios. I'll just flash the radio and wait till carbon updates to 4.4.3

Changes are system, radios, and boot

But to answer your question, if you look at the script google provides in the factory image, they have it reboot back into the bootloader after flashing the recovery, and radio. Everything else gets flashed at once.

After flashing recovery? That seems odd because generally the factory images have always been a bootloader img, a radio img, and a zip file contain the system, boot, recovery, and userdata partitions with the sequencing going like such:

Flash bootlooder - > reboot bootloader
Flash radio -> reboot bootloader
update using zip -> reboot system.

I'll have to give it a look when I get home since I really haven't had time to mess with it.

You are right, I mispoke its bootloader and radio.

I even opened the script up to make sure I had the right 2 before posting:o

Id go bootloader (reboot) then radio (reboot) then everything else, but no you don't need to reboot after flashing recovery.

You may remember when you first unlocked your device you had to make sure you booted into your device before flashing a custom recovery.

That may be what were getting tripped up on
 
Alright thanks you two. First time around this issue and I want to get it right without bricking on this device.
