Anyone bought from CPW?

My N5 keeps losing its wifi connection and has the loud annoying vibrator thingy, which I've only realised now is a fault with the phone.

Just wanted to know if anyone has had good experience with getting a replacement from CPW (it's been more than 30 days, so I don't know how helpful they'll be)

I imagine that they will send your device off and give you a loan of a feature phone while you wait. You'll have to ask to find out.

Since it's a Nexus, you could try Google directly but I don't know what their stance could be on this.

If you didn't purchase your device or accessory on Google Play, contact the retailer where you purchased your device for return information.

I tried emailing CPW (yeah I forgot tht no one responds to email) so I'll go in one of the stores tomorrow. If that doesn't help, I guess I could try LG as well.

Another question - if I go into a store, will it matter if I'm rooted? Obviously I'll unroot before sending it off, but just wanted to know if its likely they'll want to see/reboot the phone or anything...

Yes, unroot. CPW store may not have the issue, but if you manage to get a warranty repair then it will become one when it comes to fixing the device.

Return to stock and lock the bootloader.

Just realised today that it's June, and I've had the N5 for 4 months now, and I still haven't been into CPW (I kept telling myself, "I'll go tomorrow")

What are my chances of anything happening in my favour now?

I found the sales staff useless when my wife's Sony Experia wouldn't tether, one kiddie said he knew nothing about android because he had an iPhone!! Eh? Aren't they supposed to know about all of their products!
Though the guy on the Geek Squad counter was pretty helpful, and managed to get it sorted. Her phone was about 2 months old.
Good luck

Buy another one from them, take the old one with the receipt and ask for a refund within the cooling down period.

I've done this before with other things but never a phone. Surely with all the IMEI and serial numbers, this wouldn't be possible?
