Root [Virgin Mobile] Google eating my data...

So, I've attached a screenshot of my data usage, and all of the google services ate up almost 2gb's of my data, and so I restricted background data to it, and now I don't get any notifications on mobile networks now, only on WiFi do I get my notifications. Anyone have a clue? I'm running PACROM 4.4.2.

Strange. It might be a 4.4.2 problem. I'm not sure

Consider this...
What is it:*Google Services consists of, well, exactly what it sounds like. Google's services, such as Music, Play Services, etc. It also includes the part of your phone that downloads OTAs, or system updates.

Why it is using all of your data?*Your ROM developer didn't disable this service. So now, your phone is trying to update to Android 4.x.x, but you are running with a custom ROM, with a custom Recovery. It downloads the update files, but then when it goes to try to tell you to update, for some reason not all of the files are there. They've been moved somewhere else, or removed altogether. So the must be an error somewhere. Your phone deletes the pdate files, and tries again. And again. And again. And not suddenly you've downloaded Android 4.x.x 15 times over your Data Plan. That's not good.

What you can do to stop it:

Option 1: Update to a 4.4.3 ROM. This is by far the best thing you can do to stop it from using your data up. There are no cons to updating, but it can take awhile, as since you are on a Custom ROM, you're going to have to back up all of your data and restore it later. If you are super lazy, see option 2

Option 2: Go to Settings>>Data Usage>>Click "Google Services">> Scroll to the bottom and click "Restrict Background Data". Now your phone will stop downloading the update until you uncheck this option. I have found a few cons to doing this, however. You will notice your signal bars will stay gray now when you are on mobile data, and not blue. You will stop receiving notifications from apps like Snapchat, Google+, and Google Hangouts, as well as other apps that use sync, until you are on WiFi. Google Plus is not usable on Mobile Data anymore. And these are just a few things. But it all generally only happens on Mobile Data. Once you are on WiFi again, there are no problems and your phone will be back to normal.

This can't be a coincidence.. Same problem here. Over the past 4 days I have went over my data limit and am now throttled. It's all from google services also. Haven't ever had this problem before.

I'm running Conquest and so far in 2 weeks my Google Services has only used 5.09mb.

Has to be something in that rom
