anyone notice the RED speaker grill???

i really wanna know why it's red when we KNOW the release is silver... doesn't make much sense for them to have a non release model to show

yeah someone pointed out the red a few posts up. but what do we really know for sure?

didn't someone speculate that -

silver = best buy
red = sprint

?

i'm not saying this makes any business sense - BUT................

Go ahead and drop it on us. You have my curiosity up.

Bill - I posted something on Thursday - I think - with a grain of salt - that I hit up a Sprint corporate store - and when I asked about the EVO - without missing a beat - go "Late May".

Ajac I'm going to have to disagree with you here.

I absolutely hate that UI on the Samsung android phone. It i wayy to iPhoney for me. It has the same 4 apps on a shelf on the bottom and takes away from what i believe adnroid really is open.

With taht said HTC sense is the best and biggest reason why people buy an HTC ndroid device. The apps are great and the interface is soo much more cleaned up and refreshing from that iphone stockiness.

Would super amoled have been nice? YESSSS! But hey we are getting the better phone. It has 2 CAMERAS, 4.3" screen, KICKSTAND, HTC SENSE, and a snapdragon processor. I don;t know where you got your fact from the the processor that samsung uses is 3x better because its not. Snap dragons are the biggest and best processors currently on the market. Ask any techie and they'll tell you that. Thats why its such a big selling point.

The Pro version is also not 4G. Don;t know where you got that mis information from....

there are noo circles around the buttons on the final model btw

also i post facts. Its only specualtion when i specifcally say taht. Other wise everything i say is true. You should know that by now...

dang I want the red speaker grill....I hope you are wrong because I'm getting mine at BB =)

I received the following response to my question to HTC concerning the EVO battery.
The Sprint EVO 4G, we are not sure which battery and how big the battery will be. We do know that the battery will be a lot more powerful than any other phone in the US Market, due to it will need the power to use the 4G bands. So we can say that the batteries will be different in power so you will not be able to use the HTC Hero’s battery in the EVO 4G.

Speculation Post by me

NY and LA are lit up and probably on track for the dates of the Premieres.

The June dates I think where read herrings to throw the competition off

The specs listed are partially true but will be much better than advertised

The device released to stores are not complete devices with full specs, but demos for training and the real specs will be revealed on launch date.

4g is a must for this device to shine.. Yeah the specs are good but it shines on 4g..

4g roll out is going better than expected.

The I-Phone.. The fake dates are so competitors get relaxed or try to plan an offense/defensive..

I have heard from two sources the phone is complete and ready to ship, but they wanted to be prepared for demand and not be sold out. So the units on hand will be staggering..

No BB advance notice, everyone will get it at the same time to avoid leaks to the public..

I have know for a fact that the 4g coverage is greater than advertised.. It might not all be turned on at one time but the roll out is further along than advertised.

As much as the consumer/you guys want this phone.. Business and industries have been pre-sold on this device and wimax services..

Wimax is going to be huge.. LTE is more hype right now.. Wimax is a home run..

-------

I got more but will do it in stages

Agreed, I will be more than a little let down if the phone cant make it through a day with normal usage. I read on phonedog that the incredible's battery life leave something to be desired so hopefully that wont be the case here.

On my Hero, I have to turn off the GPS and Blue Tooth when I'm using it. If I don't, I go through the battery in a hurry. At least I can change batteries if I need to (but usually I don't) I just think I'll be using the EVO a lot more than I do the Hero, so it could be a concern.
