Phone compatibility question

So I FINALLY received my $50 card for my LG F3 (damn thing only took 5 months!!). So now I want to move to or thinking about moving to Tmobile. So I'm checking things out like I always do. I type in my IMEI and BAM it says it's not compatible.??????

Why not if it's a Metro phone and they should go either way. So now I'm not sure if it can be done.
The reason i want to do it is to save money of course. I have a total of 5 lines on metro at $225 monthly (2.5GB). If I switch to Tmobile it will be $160 (+fees??) (with 3GB)
Interestingly I stumbled on Crickets website and started checking them out (they are AT&T). They have a a family plan for 5 lines it would be $160 and if they apply the autopay credit it would be $135 (even better :D).
So I put tin the same IMEI that Tmobile so rudely  said that wasn't compatible and it seems that it would work.

The only problem being that it says that I would only be able to get 3G speeds up to 1.7 Mbps

Which doesn't sound to bad. Hmmmm
Any thoughts on this people? Any one with experience with either this situation or with the new Cricket? Will Metro actually let me unlock the phone? I have had the phones on good standing since January so I figure they have to give me the unlock code, right?

Cricket will not let you combine the autopay credit and family plan (Group Save) discounts:
https://www.cricketwireless.com/legal-info/group-save-terms-and-conditions.html

"Miscellaneous:
Activation fee may apply. All lines are subject to applicable rate plan terms and conditions. The Auto Pay credit does not apply to accounts receiving a Group Save discount."
