Root Cant get the cm installer working on my nexus 5

Today i decided to install cm on my nexus 5 but when i tried to get the cm from google play it says that my device is not compatible with this version.i was wondering if it may be because of the 4.4.4.please help

"Cyangenmod theme showcase" is not a theme engine, it just helps you download themes. You need need a ROM with cm's theme changer embedded in the system. Such Roms like: DU, carbon, or cm based roms.

You be much better off setting up your Nexus 5 with a alternate recovery so you can flash any ROM. If you want an automated way of setting it up, use WUGs Nexus Root Toolkit. It will unlock the bootloader, install the recovery (recommend TWRP, which is default) and give you rooted stock. Then you can just flash a kernel or flash a new ROM of your choice.

Take some time to research, read and ask question.

Cm app installer? I don't get that message when looking at it and I'm on stock 4.4.4. Did you change your DPI or changed something else on the build.prop?

No not the app installer the installer for cyanogenmod ..ive watched some YouTube videos and everyone was getting an apk in order to use the cm installer on pc

Oh thanks but is there another way of installing cm on my nexus..i mean like something i could do very easy because i tried installing cm on my xperia ray (a year ago) and i couldnt do it because nobody explained very well.and i would be very thankful if you could tell how to or at least tell me where i can find a very detailed instruction.i would like someone to give something like live support so that i would understand everything .thanks

Your going to have to do four things: backup your data, root it, unlock the bootloader, and install a custom recovery (twrp). You can't simply install an entire operating system via an app, that just ruins chance to learn about the device.

Everything you need is in the link Incakola provided above.

In fact, it goes through the exact same steps the cyanogenmod installer would do, except its far better for any new device owner to know how to do it his/herself.

After you have the bootloader unlocked and a custom recovery installed, you simply download the latest cyanogenmod ROM from:
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hammerhead

Then make a nandroid backup, do a full wipe from recovery, and flash the ROM and GAPPS (google play store)

If you have questions about any of those steps, we'll be happy to help
