Display (Screen Size) issue on Android M8 Tv Box. Please Help!!!

i just bought the M8 Android Tv box running Kitkat 4.4 and i have had the following issue.

I am connecting it to my sony HD tv and every time I use it some of the display goes off the screen. in other words i cant see the whole screen because the screen appears too wide or something! is there a way i can change this because i have tried all the setting/display options on my TV and the box? Is there anything I have missed?

Has anyone had the same problem?

On you M8 box . go to settings-go to display-scroll down to display position -Then use your arrows keys up & down to set the screen
