Youtube pausing videos randomly

I'm using a rooted ZTE Force and the latest version of YouTube (5.7.42) and have been having issues with YouTube pausing videos recently. Every time I skip an ad at the beginning of a video, the video itself starts off paused instead of automatically playing after the ad is skipped. Also, during lengthy videos, it tends to pause at a little over the 10 minute mark. Anyone else having similar issues? Is there a fix?

Clear Cache and Delete Data from Youtube app. Then try it

Tried it. Even tried uninstalling the updates and reinstalling. Nothing. Now it won't even play the video sometimes and I have to refresh. I used to have problems playing videos in general until I did some research and found out that the sprint network had issues with YouTube, so I had to dial ##data# and change the rstp and dss settings to get them to play. Maybe related? That was about a month ago but this has only been going on for a week. I'd call sprint but their support is worthless.

With that in mind, have you tried playing a video while connected to Wifi? Does it exhibit the same behavior?

Most likely the internet is not strong enough. While watching a video, go to settings and change the resolution to something smaller. By default it's set to 720 p, but you may need to change it to something like 360, or 480p resolution.

It won't look as good, but at least the video will play. Also, make sure if you want to watch a video, that you are on WiFi. Youtube takes up a lot of bandwidth. A LOT

Okay, tried it on wifi and had the same problem. So I don't think it's a bandwidth issue. Tried reducing the video quality and that didn't help. Even tried searching the options to see if there was an "auto pause" feature but no luck. Also, tried rolling back a few updates. Still having the issue.

Bump. Updated to latest version. Worked for awhile but now back to pausing after ads are skipped. Sometimes it won't even load the video
