How many texts does the S5 save? How far back, days, weeks, months? Is there a total number? Do they get dumped from the top of the pile after a certain number?

Go into the settings of the messaging app and turn off "delete old messages". This should keep all your messages saved on the phone. As far as for how many....probably thousands, depending on how many picture messages you receive. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. I didn't want to delete them. Just interested in if there is a maximum that when reached, they automatically disappear.
