Root [5.1.1][UNOFFICIAL] Paranoid Android 5.1 [12.30.2015]

Just installed 4.45 and it is really nice :) Thanks Seraph08!!! I flashed the rom, micro gapps, boot animation fix, then my MMS fix.

MMS is working (only tried it using the messaging app) and the device reports Boost Mobile on the lock screen and in quick settings.

This is my first experience with aospa, so forgive my ignorance, but many of the settings I was expecting to see are nowhere to be found. Heads up display, lock screen shortcuts, no wallpaper to name a few examples.

Music plays very smooth and I can finally move through a song using the slider without lag in a cm based rom :) All the other builds including cm have had a major issue with this. However I have not tried the newest cm11 nightlies so it's possible they have fixed this.

There were a couple issues initially:

1. The keyboard fc'ed all over the place and would not work at all. I flashed the google keyboard addon and problem solved (except I don't like google keyboard as well but I can sort that out later)

2. The device rebooted itself the first time I unmounted my OTG drive. The next time it worked so i am not sure this is a permanent issue.

Anyway there's my 2 cents. Nice work man :D
 
I have tried to look all through this thread. Did anyone have an issue on voice-mail notifications? I don't even see the visual voice-mail app installed anymore?
 
I don't care much about that. I do care about the notification. I have to check my voice-mail after missed calls and usually have voice-mail but no notification of it.
 
MMX fix from OP fix the name in notification.
Any way to change name in notification ?( network name )
Would like to put my network name or my company name in notification.

Yes, that is one glaring issue for me with using the custom roms right now. I really like this rom but really wish there was some sort of notification, although I don't think that's possible if VVM isn't working at all due to the changes the services have made switching to VVM from my understanding.

Would you be willing to try your fix with stock gapps and Hangouts? Or anyone else?

I've been running the new build and the SuperR mmsfix all weekend... looks like sms go through, but not mms.

When you use stock gapps it will remove your MMS apk, all I use is hangouts and all is good on the front from here.

I am just trying to narrow this down.

Full wipe, even going back to stock, everything wipe before a new install.

Install with fresh PA (always nice, by the way), stock gapps, fixes in order but Hangouts just doesnt work consistently for me with mms...

Gonna try latest with full modular gapps and SuperR's fix and run the stock mms.

Don't want to detract from this rom, It is very, very nice. I just wanted to see if any others are having issues with Hangouts.

Hover button is in notification drawer next to the flip to quick settings button.

Pie controls are activated by immersive mode in quick settings.

Peek can be activated in the display section of settings. Should be like the second to last option.

I always flash full stock gapps
 
everything works great for this rom. except the camera app. anyone else have this issue or is it just me?
 
I got a notification this morning to download the beta 1 in the paranoid ota app.

Should we wait for your builds?

Rom is running great and I am sending and receiving sms with Hangouts.

If you mean pressing 1 on the dialpad, yes, voicemail works.

If you mean visual voicemail, no. This is an issue on all custom roms and related to how carriers deliver it. I see threads from 2 or 3 years ago discussing this issue.

As far as I can tell, nobody has come up with a solution.
