Root [LINARO] AWEstruck v1.04 12/14/14 | [3.4.107] v1.05b6 5/30/15

Okay then, this will only work with CM11 until I can get an anykernel updater working.

it booted slimkat screen flashed a couple times one was a blue flash not sure an second flash then screen flatly black then booted and it set to max 1.7 and set on performance runs faster then it did with out this kernal

So, I should have been working on that updater but I think you guys will forgive me in the long run. I think I have it booting after being compiled with linaro 4.8.3 :)

Make that linaro 4.9.1! The issue between 4.7 and 4.8 was some of the code included in the kernel decompression. I redid arch/arm/boot/compressed/Makefile and all is right with the world. So I think it's about time I did a release. Here's the stock version for testing, based on feedback I'll do an official release.

One more thing... GPU OC is restored.

Based on benchmarks I have to question if GPU OC is actually changing the clocks. Please let me know if you see evidence one way or the other.

Gpu oc seems to work gonna do more testing... Mpdecision is still not tunable... Im using pac performance

PAC performance isn't coded to tune mpdecision. You must use android tuner, trickster mod, or kernel tuner 2014 to do this. Or get your hands on the PAC performance source and add mpdecision support.

Also, I say that GPU oc may not be working because my 2d and 3d benchmark scores are the same at 400mhz and 627mhz, which doesn't make sense.

Can't OC frequencies(CPU/GPU), governors and schedulers just be added to stock code and compiled? The stock kernel performs well it just need a little oomph lol.

That's exactly what I did, my very first commit is pushing ZTE's provided code and all my changes are on top of that.

Can someone bench the last release and see if GPU oc shows improvements there? Either my commit of phenom's changes broke this worse than I initially thought, or the code I used never worked and we had a placebo.

Can also confirm GPU oc seems to just be numbers. Trickstermod claims its higher, and it does tune itself on ondemand governor but benches aren't the same as the previous version. MP-Decision added is a nice touch glad to see it! Have noticed some battery drain higher than usual, but i always have mine clocked at 1.7 -1.0 interactive so user fault. And yes, use trickstermod people, the others dont even compare.

So far no reboots :) boot speed has increased significantly once gpu oc is fixed id say we have a winner... Get blue flicker on boot but causes no issues... Y not switch to external mpdecision?? Trickster works but too many common options are donate only...

If you'll recall we had issues with the external mpdecision overriding the cpu settings. On top of that though, having it integrated with the kernel is more efficient, so the result is a faster phone / less power consumption. Yes it's a fraction, but my goal is to squeeze this phone for all it's worth.

handles MP-Decision better, cleaner interface, SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for kernel tuning...that kind of thing

My tool of choice is actually android tuner, mostly because it's a swiss army knife. An alternative I keep leaving out is System Tuner, which contains a subset of the tools, same developer. Certainly not putting down Trickster, it detects the simple gpu governer where Android Tuner doesn't.

In order to fix the GPU I need to ask for help finding another kernel that has implemented overclocking for a phone with an Adreno 305 GPU. I'm having an unfortunately difficult time finding one.

Did some research and reading and though its an older posting I think there's some relevant information. Hope its useful.

Also a MotoG kernel with alleged GPU over clocking and mp decision to intelidemand...there's a git may be worth a look...
