Why does my phone get sluggish?

u should try Clean Master from the play store. too many junk files will cause ur phone to lag

simply going into settings--apps--select app--clear cache will do that easily without needing a third party app (which may have its own issues). i do it once per week, no problems so far.

Do you have Google Now enabled? I've never measured side by side, but I hear that it uses a lot of resources. If you don't need/use it, you should try disabling it.

I don't even have google now installed. It does not come with the stock rom that I have on my phone.

Tried clean master before, but was not impressed. Did not seem to help the problem and I had a lot of problems with the app.
