Spotify and time-trialed accounts?

Has anybody else run into this? My fiance got her OnePlus One (LOVES it, hates Sandstone, got a case that solves that easily). She put Spotify on it and can inexplicably select songs/skip like its a tablet. That's fine, but its only giving her less than an hour of listening time per day. I had an exchange with Spotify that states that this is normal behavior for some people- they're testing having daily time limits. Has anybody else run into this issue or have something similar?

I did start a trial account, but I didn't listen that long. Maybe half an hour at the most. I didn't run into any issues.

Never had any issues with Spotify at all.

I have been doing a free account for months now with no time limits. But her free account gets only an hour a day, period. No listening at ALL beyond that.

Existing free accounts get unlimited listening, new accounts get only one hour a day. That's my guess.
