Help Play SD Card Movies

Hello,

I am not a big Android fanboy I prefer Windows stuff (hides for cover) I have purchased some movies from the play store and want to transfer them to my 32GB SD card. I have managed to do this and I can watch the films from the "PLay Movies" app which I like the layout of etc but its playing the film from the original downloaded location not the place I have moved it to on my SD card.

I have downloaded MX player and also VLC and navigated to the SD card location and neither of these recognise the .wvm files I have placed there, I am a bit frustrated as the device only has 8GB of internal storage and I would like to put any future films on the SD card.

Could someone enlighten me as to either a) how I can move the default download location of google play so in future they go to the SD card or b) get the other players to recognise the files as video files.

many thanks in advance.

Because of DRM, you won't be able to view them in other applications.

However, if you open the play movies app, hit the menu button on the top left of the screen, then settings, about 2/3 of the way down the page, you can change the download location. :)

Hello,

Thanks for help,

I dont seem to have that option, I go to top left and settings and the options I have are:

General:
Show cards on pause

Language and captions:
Audio Language
Caption Settings

Streaming on Mobile Networks:
Show warning

Downloads:
Manage Downloads
Network
Quality

About:
Open Source Licenses

I have gone into Downloads, manage downloads and there are no options in there, any thoughts?

Which version of the Play Movies app are you running? The current version (or at least the version I'm using is 3.5.14). It should be under Quality.

Your running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) on that Prestigio Multipad EdwardMallet. I think it may have something to do with that if you haven't updated your apps in awhile. Try El Presidente's advice and download the latest version of the Play Movies software.
