Root [PhilZ] [MS323, D320N, D325] PhilZ Recovery v6.57.9

Could we "in a sence" dual boot by outing a ROM in place of recovery? Say I have stock and cm11 in recovery partition.

Hmm somehow my cwm came back :O it just replaced philz automatically. It happened after I started messing with philz settings and reboot.

Their isn't a recovery for lg D321 sucks right and I was told by Chevan that the bootloader unlocker for the L70 doesn't completely unlock it 100% so that means no recovery or roms :(

Its not that it can't be unlocked. I don't know one dev who has that variant. Unless they can test unlock methods on it it'll probably not get unlocked.

Sad Times. So what are our WORKING options, as far as root capabilities for those stuck with the D321?

AFAIK, that's sadly true. I'll let yall know if I find otherwise.

There's a little wiggle room, you just gotta go slow, and triple check everything you do before you do it, and then once more for good measure.

Im now rooted, and have DL'd some of the more popular apps with no issues.

Nova Launcher works awesome for me so far.

Ms323. So I flashed phillz on my laf with fastboot flash laf.(got the idea from one of the l70 laf multitool threads)

Since phills has a terminal, can I just dd if=/dev/zero out the laf partition to reenable fastboot? Thank you crutchcorn and everyone involved. Finally I can boot to recovery from off!

To reenable fastboot you'll need to restore your original laf

Couldn't you flash this from on the phone using terminal emulator? Just by doing this?

su

dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery

I'm just curious because this is how I installed other recoveries on my other phone and it saves me the headache of using command prompt on my computer lol

Haha, It would take a lot more than that to offend me my friend. I was just unsure about everything going on in this forum, mixed with all the different variants of this phone and all the different people asking the same annoying questions. I'm trying to read up on every little thread before I actually do anything. Just making sure it could be done through the terminal emulator. Thanks for the quick response and a good laugh :p.
