Root System Status: Custom

Hi,

My galaxy rush has been having trouble booting. Sometimes it won't boot at all and I have to take the battery out and wait for a few hours before it will boot again. I suspect it has something to do with the phone overheating all the time. I want to send the device back in for repair, but I can't because my device has been rooted.

I've tried restoring the phone back to stock (using odin to flash stock, unrooted firmware; using the super stock rom from http://androidforums.com/threads/rom-4-1-2-stock-super-stock-restore.724711/).

The problem is that i can't get the System Status to show official (ie when you go to Settings>About Device>Status>Device Status - It still says "custom". Does anyone know how I can restore this to "official"?

Thanks!

Even when stock my phone always showed "custom", in the device status, so you should be okay. I think "custom" only means that our particular version of Jellybean was modified to Boost Mobile's specifications rather than the way it was originally designed.

Actually it means that custom software was installed on the phone (i think it reads the flash counter in download mode)

@jenyang
Do you still have the yellow triangle when you first turn it on too?

Mine also said custom even before flashing a different than stock rom. I trust you Vincent. You're probably right.
Did you look before installing a custom recovery? It's not the rom that's the issue, it's using Odin to install something. Honestly, i never looked before rooting/recovery/etc. it's possible I'm wrong. i don't have the rush anymore, do o can't test, but you can get rid of the yellow triangle if you follow this guide:
