Help FoxFi Removal Issues / Hotspots

I uninstalled FoxFi and also removed the Trusted Certificates. With that said, when I attempt to utilize the Verizon free Hotspot (Mobile Hotspot), FoxFi continues to be displayed and I cannot configure the Verizon Hotspot. Did I miss a step?

Is it possible you only removed the shortcut from the desktop?

I originally considered that....however everywhere I check, FoxFi is not a listed application nor is it is Trusted Certificates andy longer

Best practice, when uninstalling apps, is to clear cache and data prior to uninstalling the app, as listed in Step #3 of #1.5 in the
S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide. Trying wiping the cache partition in #1.3 of the guide, to see if that helps.

I haven't used foxfi in a couple of years, and it seems to have changed since then. I think the answer is in one of these two threads. Seems you may have to do more than clear it's certificate if I'm reading them right.

Thanks....It was very easy to reboot and clear cache on S4. It seems with S5 when I hold in the volume up and power keys, I get a continual reboot.

Have amended the guide. It is... Volume UP+Home+Power buttons on the S5.

Must take more water with it.

The reboot combo works great-thanks. But clearing the cache did not address my issue. I also reloaded the Foxfi and cleared the cache etc before uninstalling ...still no success.....

Uninstalled foxfi, kept the key, foxfi hotspot still shows, but does not do internet... Provider got clever?

hey, wondering if you found the solution to remove foxfi hotspot even though app already been removed. Had same problem now and cant find other answers online

I'm in the same boat, cannot get rid of the app in S5, under settings--. more networks-->mobile hotspot.... there it is "FoxFi" is ready to be active. Cannot find the app under any app manager.
