so the tree your making is helping us make a 4.4 rom
Not necessarily. It will still require a lot of work. The device tree is just the beginning. Once it is done, I will try to work on a ROM, and send off the device tree to a buddy of mine to get a kernel made that will run it best.

Speaking of which, I need to create a cross compatibility guide between virgin mobile/sprint and t-mobile/metro pcs.

I've been working on stuff for them. I ported twrp to them. I created a metro pcs stock rom. I'm currently working on a t-mobile stock rom. Their freedom kernel installs on our phone but changes the way we would enter recovery.

has any body tried to figure out the panic kernel. out?

I don't know if anyone has figured it out. I see there is a setting in the kernel config that mentions kernel_panic but I haven't messed with it yet.

Since I don't use this device much, I'm going to mess around with the kernel and try and get it to stop doing it. I'll see what I come up with

What version of PAC are u going to be compiling KitKat 4.4.4???
Possibly, most likely will start with 4.1.2 and get that booting then go on. I have a very good Dev working with me and I run another PAC ROM with him so I am confident once the source for this phone is done we can get something going
