Help Lock screen logo

TConnally

Lurker
Samsung Galaxy S3
KitKat 4.4

Under some previous incarnation of the android operating system I created a custom lock screen JPEG and loaded it to the phone and activated it as my lock screen logo. Under the current KitKat 4.4 I am unable to replicate that action. The custom JPEG still appears as the background on the lock screen however I am unable to even find where it is stored. I would appreciate any help as to how a custom lock screen wallpaper can be downloaded to the phone and activated. Also I would appreciate any help in locating the folders for lock screen logos the current file on my phone. Thanks

Hello there TConnally!
I may not be the most technically inclined dude :p , but when you loaded it to the phone originally, did you download it from a certain site (after you created it), or did you put it in your DCIM folder?
I would assume you could find it in your gallery or downloads folder?
As far as the lockscreen logos on the device, are you talking about the preinstalled ones?

It was created in Photoshop and at that time there was an option to load a customized lock screen wallpaper. It is not in my gallery or downloads folder. This was not a preinstalled wallpaper but a customized one created in Photoshop. Thanks for the help.

Can you browse your files with a file browser to find .jpeg files?

I searched both internal and external memories of my phone for both JPEG and PNG with no results other than stock photos and my photos. No sign of the lock screen file.

Thanks for your help

When you first set your picture as your lockscreen logo (wallpaper?), what options were presented to you as choices, as to where the picture should come from. i.e. when setting my lockscreen wallpaper, the 2 options that pop up are "gallery" and "wallpaper gallery".

Or, what would happen if you chose a different wallpaper, then reverted to the one you have now?

Does that make sense? :o

I do not believe I will be able to revert to my current lock screen since I am unable to find it . It's I'm going to create another custom screen in Photoshop, put it in my gallery, attempt to load it and see what happens. I will let you know. Thanks for the help.
