Help Can't print from Samsung tablet

Hello group,

I'm running Android 4.4.2 on a Galaxy Tab 4. When I try to print a document wirelessly, I get error messages saying "Sending Failed. File sharing not available." My printer recognizes my tablet because it wakes up when I try to send the document, so I believe the printer is configured properly. Does anyone know how to make this "file sharing" available?

Is this using Wi-Fi Direct or over a wireless network? If over a network, is the printer connected to your PC or router? What ins make/model of printer?
 
OK. I'm 99% sure that Samsung restrict usage to their own brand printers. Perhaps someone with more knowledge in this area will confirm or solve your problem.
