Help Moto G 5.0 how tolock volume button when phone is locked?

Beets82

Lurker
Since updated to 5.0 when my phone is in my pocket the volume button gets bumped and then phone go into no disturbing mode. I want to keep everything locked untill after i put in security pattern. If my phone keeps blocking calls im going to lose my Job.

There are a few volume locker apps on Play which keep ringer volumes at a set level regardless of whether or not the volume button is pressed.

Would that work for you?

Thanks for suggestion but I tried a few of these apps. But now with 5.0 when you press the volume button options appear on screen to set priority calls or no calls or notifications at all and this has happed whilest phone was in pocket then all calls go straight to voicemail and I don't get a txt either as all notifications are blocked. I think may a new lock screen app is needed

Try an app called Slide lock, if you want to try an alternative lock screen.

Not sure if it will be the same, but on my tab running lollipop, if I head to Settings, Sound & Notifications, Interruptions, I can set exclusions so alerts come though when in silent mode etc.

Do you have the same?

Yes! slide lock works perfect thnx thnx thnx.

Also you can set priority notifications on Moto G. Moto G's had this feature already before upgrade which as now been replaced by the android version but difference now is that it also it has a no interruptions mode which blocks everything and can be changed by volume rocker without unlocking - i.e. in my pocket. I spent a long time looking in settings to prevent this, it feels like Andriod has given us a lot less settings options now also.
