Help Need help - Android Q7 TV box

Hello, Im having an issue with my android Q7 box.

Im trying to hook up and external hard drive to my Q7 box. Ive tried formatting it to be exFAT and NTFS and neither one works. The moment I plug it into either port on the TV box, it says in the bottom right hand corner "device is ready for safe removal" or something like that (similar to when you eject it from a computer). It wont show up in any of the file explorers i have on it, or Kodi.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a power issue, basically the Q7's USB port is unable to supply enough power to spin the hard-drive. OK with USB sticks, which take much less current. PC and laptop USB ports usually have no problem with this, as they can usually supply the required current for hard-drives.

A fix is to use a powered USB-hub, the type that runs from a power-brick, and plug the USB hard-drive into that, and plug the hub into the Q7. The hard-drive itself must be formatted as FAT32, not Windows NTFS.
