It all depends on your region and network.
Whilst unbranded handset may have had the update, that's only in it's certain countries. If your handset it network branded, you may have to wait longer.

Is it recognised by Kies when you plug it in to a PC?
That's going to be a little difficult.
The good news is that counterfeiters love the more expensive version, so yours may not be a target.

It's not the greatest and it gets a lot wrong but typically not the processor.
If it says MediaTek instead of Qualcomm, it's definitely a fake. The real one uses the more expensive Qualcomm.
I think it's genuine. The real one.
