Before I upgraded to Lollipop, when my phone was silenced (I am a teacher), my alarms would still sound. Now they don't and I can't find a setting to change...anyone? Thanks.

You must have set the sound profile to None. When you increase the volume on your device does it bring up a menu in the middle of your screen with None, Priority and All? If not then you can change it from Settings then Sound. The silent mode of the past is no more until you receive the Android 5.1 update. None profile does not allow any sounds even alarms.

It does not bring up this menu - when I go to Settings and Sound, I have the following options:
Ringtone
Media
Notifications
System

Still confused!
