Help HTC desire 620 top speaker not working?

I was playing music while I realised my top speaker wasn't wokring! Has anyone had the same problem?

Does it work in calls? If it does then it's a software problem, in which case we need to work out why. Best to check for trivial things like the stereo balance being switched over to one side before doing anything radical!

If it doesn't work for calls or music it may be a hardware fault. A simple test, though a bit of a pain, would be to back everything up and do a factory reset, then try it again before restoring anything. If it still doesn't work after that I would suspect something had broken and send it for repair.

Just wondered if you had any further information on this? My phone is only a month old and I realised I have the same problem. The top speaker works on calls, but not when playing music or videos. I just tried resetting the phone, but nothing has changed.

Try using this code for diagnostics. There should be a audio test. Just follow the instructions.
*#*#3424#*#* in the dial pad. Should open the diagnostics.
