Help SD card has 3 Android files?

After I insert a brand new SD card into the phone, I check the phone and can see the following 3 folders in the SD Card:

- Android
- System Volume Information
- LOST.DIR

Questions:
Did Android create those 3 folders in the SD Card?
Can I delete the 3 folders in the SD card or those 3 folders need to be in the SD card all the time?

If an app writes to the SD Card, the data is most likely stored in the The Android folder. If you open it, you'll probably see a subfolder called data? Within there you should see other folders corresponding to the package names of apps you have installed.

From memory, LOST.DIR is a folder which contains recently deleted files and folders etc. You can delete the contents (and even the folder), but Android will recreate again the next time your device is booted.

System Volume information is a windows thing, not sure it has any relevance to Android.

If you delete the folders, Android will just recreate them. Plus you lose any data the phone may have moved to the Android folder.

Thank you for the info. I will let those folders stay as it is and see what happens when I start using some apps.
