Help Can ClockworkMod backup be used on hard bricked Nexus 7 with no bootloader?

pooparoop

Lurker
After the Lollipop update my Nexus 7 2012 was unusable, so I tried downgrading to Kitkat.

The process got stuck for some reason (USB connection fail?) and I have a hard bricked device going into APX mode (no bootloader, black screen).

Before attempting the downgrade, I used the ClockworkMod app Helium to backup the apps on my device.

Is there anything in that .json backup file that I could use to salvage the Nexus out of APX mode?

Also, is an nvflash version for Nexus 7 coming out anytime soon, or should I just go buy a new tablet?

Thank you

Helium only backs up your apps. You need ClockworkMod Recovery to fix it. Actually, not even any recovery. A hard brick is pretty much impossible to get out of. So it's pretty much dead.
