I can't open this certain PDF file on my 2nd gen moto e because adode acrobat says the document cannot be open end because it is not a valid PDF document even though it looks like a .PDF file. Also, I can open other PDF files, but not this one.

I tried opera and google PDF reader but they're not working. Note:I don't have a PC. What should I do?

Can you check if it's a corrupted file?

If nothing private in it, email to a friend or upload it and post a link. If using Google Drive, remember to set sharing on.

I tried to upload it online and in the PDF it says "the file you are trying to download does not exist". That's not what the PDF file is supposed to look like. It's a pretty private file.

In the past I have(I successfully read the file on the PC) but my laptop stopped working. I think I can get access to a desktop, though. Not sure.

Try ezPDF. I have a PDF file that can be opened on a PC with Foxit or Adobe, but Foxit and Mantano Reader won't on an Android. So far only ezPDF has been the only one that can. There's a free trial version.

Tried ezPDF, it said Failed to open this document:wrong format or damaged file

Downloads and file transfers can sometimes be cut-off or truncated and not show an error, not until you actually try and open the file. This is why we have things like MD5 verification on some download or FTP sites., so you can verify what you've got is the identical to the original and undamaged. You'll have to get them to resend you the PDF, and if they can do an MD5 on it, all the better.

Absolutely right.

But even when you get a good PDF file, it can go bad when moved around the place. There are tools out that that claim to be able to mend broken PDF files. But the best solution is to ensure that you always have more than one copy of any important files.

I use more and more PDF files as tickets and such on my Android devices. I always keep another copy, preferably on something like OneDrive so that I can get at them when away from my PC.

Can you tell me more about these tools that fix broken PDF files?
