Issue with Wear app

sswingle

Newbie
So I had to replace my LG G watch today. In troubleshooting the old one I reinstalled the app on the phone. Got the new watch, synced it to the phone, and it updated to 5.0.2. The phone says its running the latest version 1.1.1.1889093. However it is not at all like it used to be.

At the top it used to have an LG logo and say G watch. Now its just some clouds.

When I went to device settings, I used to be able to see a battery chart, and some settings are missing like the turn on when tilted feature.

On the watch itself, I loaded the watch face I was using back on, but I keep getting white text on top of it that says "Ok Google" I never got this before and can't find where I might have turned it off before.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Can't help you with the rest, but for the battery and tilt settings, in Android Wear on your phone, click the gear at the top right. Then click on the name of your watch to open that settings page.

So the white text "ok google" went away on its own after I used it a few times.
Still have the other issue. Tapping the gear, then tapping the watch, and I only have 4 options. I do not have the battery option, and I do not have the tilt to wakeup option.
I tried deleting data and re installing the app on the phone yet again with no success.

In unrelated news the Fit update today was nice.

As has been said in many other posts, open Android Wear, click the gear symbol at the top right, click on the name of your watch at the top, and then you will see those options.

I have made it clear TWICE now that is EXACTLY what I am doing and it is not there.

He stated a few times that he visited that area on his device and the said options that should be there are, unfortunately, not.

It's all good man relax, sometimes users don't read posts above and read the inital post and roll down to post their own solution.

Have you potentially tried uninstalling the updates for the application, just to see if an older version is better or something? You can do this by going into Settings > Apps > Android Wear, and their should be a uninstall updates option. If not try maybe finding a version, updated or older, online and side loading it so that you can maybe get these missing options back.

Sorry that I can't be of more help. Let me know what happens!

Sorry, I missed that part. It sounds like your watch is not connected to your phone, so of course you won't have settings for it. Get that part fixed and then my instructions will work.
