Help Unknown "phone" icon in status bar- help please

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge on the Verizon network. There is an unknown phone icon with 2 )) status icons on the right side which would logically indicate to me something with voice or sound. I've searched and searched and can't figure out what it means. The phone isn't in an active call.

Does anyone know?

Are you using a different dialer app or have one installed?

That looks very similar to the Dialer One icon but it doesn't show on my status bar. I just played with settings, I can add the icon to the status bar but it goes on the other side.

Oh. Do you have HD voice? No clue on that as I don't have it yet.

Dialer one icon?

Yes, HD voice is enabled, however it's also enabled on my other device and there is no icon like that. Besides, HD voice is only active during a compatible call so no can't see how that icon would be for that.

(My wife and I have the same phones)

Dialer One is one of many alternate dialer apps.

Don't know then, hopefully someone else will know or at least have better guesses

To the best of my knowledge, it''s the default android dialer.

Try a hard reset. That's not the icon for being in a call either. Do you have any alternate dialer apps like Viber, etc.?
