Root Is it possible to root the Verizon Ellipsis 8

I just picked up the Verizon Ellipsis 8 tablet that is running 4.4.3 and I have been trying all day to find a way to root. I tried Kingo Root and it keeps saying the tablet is not connected. In the device manager tab on pc it appears that the drivers for the tablet are not correct but yet I can not find anything online to fix this issue. I am just looking for root access to run Xposed installer so that I can install the floating windows to be able to multitask. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes I tried the method from the post you linked but when I open framaroot I only have one option which is not the one he says use and the one available says root failed. Towelroot says not supported

Is there anywhere to find the drivers so that I could possibly try using Kingo root. I think that's why it says device not connected.

Yes I've tried switching the modes..... I guess I'm just stuck until hopefully someone is able to figure it out... Thank you for your help

Old thread I know. But you can root it with Kingroot www.kingroot.net. Maybe someone can make a recovery and maybe even a stock dedoxed rom.

This is how I rooted mine. You can go directly to kingoapp.com and download kingo onto your Ellipsis. You can launch Kingoroot right from your downloads, and it'll run the exploit and root the device. I would recommend installing and running SuperSU Me from the Google Play store, it'll remove all the unnecessary Kingo-related stuff and install SuperSu.
