Help What is a .txt?

A cluttered phone bugs me. I go to the app My Files, click Documents and all I see are:
[series of numbers].txt

Two questions:
1. What are they?
2. What happens if I delete them?

Text documents. Open them and see what they contain. They're tiny files so I'd probably leave them as is.
